ZIP Safety Culture Survey™

The ZIP Safety Culture Survey (SCS) has been designed by Sentis safety professionals and psychologists to assist in identifying the state of the Safety Culture within an organisation. A Safety Culture is comprised of a number of factors interacting together on a site to create a culture. Culture guides perceptions, which drive behaviour, which in turn gives a site its safety results. Some safety cultures enhance and encourage safety performance, while other cultures hinder it. Within the ZIP philosophy we strive for a Total Safety Culture (TSC). Within a TSC, four components interact to affect the safety results of an organisation: Environment, Practices, Leadership, Person. The SCS provides an organisation with the opportunity to determine the state of their own TSC, in addition to providing safety benchmarking comparisons to world class safety companies. The process involves the anonymous completion of the survey by all employees, collation and analysis of the data, in addition to the provision of a SCS report outlining the results and including recommendations.

A second component to this phase is the completion of the SCS post- ZIP at a time determined in conjunction with the organisation. This would provide both pre-and post - ZIP information for comparison that would assist in providing additional data re: determining the effectiveness of ZIP. The SCS is available in both hardcopy and online formats to provide an organisation with a solution to best fit their needs.

Additionally, Sentis has designed the ZIP Wellness Culture Survey (WCS) which is targeted at individuals within an organisation that are primarily office or corporate based. Similar to the SCS, the WCS determines the state of the Total Wellness Culture (TWC) within an organisation, and follows the same processes in terms of completion, collation, analysis, and reporting as the SCS.
